When I was younger I really wanted to wear glasses. I am not sure where I got the idea that I needed them to look cool, since none of my family members wore glasses, but I just needed them. My favorite American Girl doll was Molly; she had glasses. When I went in to the eye doctor for a routine checkup I was heartbroken when they told me I had perfect vision. So my mom was nice enough to buy me a fake pair. I loved them. They came in a case and everything. I would wear them around the house (I wasn't allowed to wear them out of the house) and pretend I needed them to see. I don't know what happened to them. I probably broke them or they got lost when we moved to Idaho.
Anyway, a few weeks ago something totally amazing happened. I got an email from this company Firmoo, asking if I would be interested in reviewing a free pair of glasses. I was so excited I started jumping up and down. Free glasses?!?! Are you kidding me? Of course I want a pair of free glasses! So I went to their website and spent an hour trying to decide what pair to choose. They had so many cute ones it was really hard to decide. You can also upload a picture of yourself to see what you would look like. I didn't do that part because I was *cough* working *cough*. I came really close to getting some cute yellow ones, but I knew that I wanted plain black, like my old ones. I filled out all my information, and crossed my fingers that this wasn't some mean practical joke. So on Saturday when I got a package in the mail and opened it up to find my glasses-I just about died. I immediately put them on, and fell in love. They are so cute! I'm pretty sure I could be a politician, people will trust me so much. I mean...don't I look super smart in them?

I mean, it's not even a contest you guys. I obviously was meant to wear glasses. Also, they are super comfortable which is very important, especially since I am a pretend glasses wearer. I need them to feel and look good. Because otherwise it defeats the entire purpose.
Okay, enough about me-if you would like a pair of prescription (or plain glass) glasses, you can get your First Pair Free at Firmoo for only shipping!! It is only 6.95 if you live in the USA. For all my international readers out there, I am not sure, but I think it should be cheaper since Firmoo is international. If you try shipping outside of the US, let me know how much it costs. I tried to also get the sunglasses but they are prescription only :(
I was asking B if he knew anyone else that wore fake glasses and he said LeBron James. (Not that B, like, knows him personally). Which means that I am just like LeBron Jamees. I mean, come on: I can dunk on a 4ft basketball hoop. I can rock fake glasses...we're pretty much twins. If you're a basketball scout, hit me up.
So go get your First Pair Free glasses! I've heard that glasses are expensive-but these are only 6.95!! If you have any questions, here is their help page.
p.s. They totally came in a cute case:

Whoa whoa whoa! Sponsored post!!? How was I to know I was in the presence of a blogging superstar!?!? I thought you were just a normal person from Idaho!
ReplyDeleteI thought I wanted glasses until my dream came true
and I got ugly, giant purple and brown swirly fake marble plastic design ones. Suddenly I regretted squinting at the board and casually mentioning/lying that things were looking fuzzy.
As soon as I got them, my sights moved on to retainer. I had to settle for a bent paper clip.
Hahah thanks Robin!! :)
DeleteOops!! Too bad you are not as honest as Miles :) But that sucks you got ugly ones, I would be upset if I got ugly ones too.
They look awesome!!! Does LeBron really wear fake glasses? I figured he wore contacts when he plays? Anyway, I think you look better than LeBron!
ReplyDeleteThanks!! Yeah, I looked it up to make sure-apparently it's a new basketball player trend. Thanks Bee!! I love your new profile pic! :)
DeleteThanks! That's a weird trend. Does that mean tattoos in the NBA are now old-fashioned? Haha!
DeleteI know! My theory (that I just came up with) is that they think it makes them look smarter. Because a lot of athletes are not known for their smarts when it comes to interviews :) Hahah maybe! That would be funny. The new face tattoo ;)
DeleteFirst of all, my favorite American girl was Molly too, because of the glasses. But Kirsten was a close second because she was blonde and had a farm. Also awesome.
ReplyDeleteSecond, I think you go take the GREs or the MCATS or something in those glasses. You know it will work.
I loved Kirsten too!! I read a lot of the books. I sadly never got an American Girl doll. It's not a sore subject or anything.
DeleteOh my god!! That is the BEST idea!! It will totally work! Why didn't I think of that?!
Oh no, everyone needs an American Girl. I asked for Molly for about 4 Christmases before I got her. I read every girl's books and then re-read them for years. Most of what I know about history comes from them.
DeleteI know!! My parents thought they were too expensive, so I got a "substitute." Totally not the same.
DeleteHaha true, I totally learned all about World War II from Molly :)
Your first sponsored post! So COOL!!
ReplyDeleteYou totally rock the fake glasses. Unfortunately I have been wearing prescription glasses since I was 12 and I've hated them since. I love the current pair I'm wearing though :)
Also, your captions made me laugh out loud :D
Thanks!!!
DeleteAww that sucks! I am glad that I don't really need them. I could see it getting totally annoying. It's nice that I can just take them off whenever.
Haha thanks! I always wonder if people read them :)
you look great in glasses!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
