some random things
The other night B didn't believe me that philosophizing was a word. I proved him wrong (of course), and he still thinks the word is stupid. But I'm convinced it's because he's just mad he didn't know it was a word.
At work today, we were talking about what our names would've been if we'd been the opposite sex. For example, my friend Kaley would've been named "Axel Xavier." How badass is that?! I texted my dad and asked him my "boy" name and he said "Toro?" He obviously couldn't remember...
It is raining here in Los Angles and I am loving it because a) I love the rain and b) it gives me an excuse to wear my birthday present from B.
I am having trouble sleeping lately (I've had problems with not being able to fall asleep my whole life), and I'm convinced if we let our dog on the bed, it will help. I still haven't tested this theory yet because B is opposed to letting Gypsy on the bed. But how can you say no to this face?!
I think I have been missing the snow lately because I have a weird desire to go to Antarctica. I've always wanted to go there, but lately I'm actually trying to figure out how. But B and I have settled on just going to Greenland because it's snowy there and you can see the Northern Lights. Plus, I wouldn't have to be gone for 9 months like I probably would for Antarctica-at least, if I tried to go there with some research team. I think I just really want to build an igloo.
Happy Friday!

My work friend didn't believe me that 'nothing to sneeze at' was a real phrase! What is it with people?
ReplyDeleteHahah it's definitely a phrase! That's hilarious they didn't believe you. I don't know, people are silly.
DeleteToro -- hahahaha! I'm pretty sure I would have been named after my dad, which is Benjamin. I still have a "B" name though, because my mom decided to give us names with first initials that match theirs. Hers is "L," so my sister is "L." Too complicated!
ReplyDeleteGypsy is such. A. Cutie!!!!! I wouldn't be able to say no to having her sleep in the bed. Of course, our cats sleep with us. And seriously, when I have trouble sleeping, I just bring Thugdoll with me, and he'll settle in the crook of my arm like a teddy bear!
I want to go to Siberia!
That's cool! My older sisters both have "K" names, my brother and I both have "T" names.
DeleteThanks!! I know, she is so adorable! She's B's dog (I mean, she's ours now, but she was originally his) so I kind of have to defer to him. But one of these days...he'll let her on! :)
Oooohh cool!
Come to Pennsylvania, we got 6" of snow yesterday! I was so pleased that I willingly shoveled the driveway. I have a problem, I know.
ReplyDeleteOh my god!! I would LOVE to come there!! Hahah I would willingly plow the driveway if I got snow!!
DeleteI definitely could not say no to that adorable face. But what do I know? I'm currently sharing my bed with my 60 pound dog.
ReplyDeleteYes to picking Greenland over Antarctica. It's too crazy cold in Antarctica...and who wants to do research when you could be vacationing??!!
Hahah yeah, Gypsy is 70 pounds or so. But she always just curls up by my legs and I like knowing she's there (I've let her on a few times when B's out of town...)
DeleteI know, I know. I just think it would be so cool to go!! I wouldn't WANT to do research, but I think that's kind of the only way to get there....but I'll settle for Greenland!
I don't have a boy name because I was supposed to be a girl from the beginning. A boy was out of the questions - my parents were strange.
ReplyDeleteI want to go find snow too!!
Hahah that's hilarious! Well good thing they got you! :)
DeleteRight?! I miss snow!
