I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas/Holiday whatever you celebrate. B and I flew to Kansas City because that is where a lot of our family lives and it was really awesome to see everyone, especially our niece and nephew. Unfortunately, every time we visit, I come home with a cold. But it was worth it. I have to admit though, as long as it has taken me to warm up to LA, I was driving home last night and felt....home. It was a nice feeling.
In other news, I missed our Christmas work party which sucked. But I did win a work award! Something I have been wanting since forever! And it was an award I totally deserved:
A friend of mine from work crashed at our apartment after the party and fell in love with our dog Gypsy and asked if she could bring her home with her to play with her dog. Of course I said yes. So when she brought Gypsy home this morning I was so excited to see her and Gypsy....couldn't care less about me. She had so much fun playing with my friends' dog and being completely spoiled (she got to sleep on the bed!) that she hardly even noticed me. But I'm glad Gypsy got to have someone to play with and got attention all day long instead of being alone and just getting walked twice a day.
I wish I had awesome pictures of my Christmas to share, but I'm an idiot and forgot to bring my camera charger so I only have 25 pictures my 6 year old nephew took of me. They're actually pretty good, considering.
Oh, and I made chocolate croissants for Christmas morning-easiest thing ever! Buy some Pillsbury croissants, put one small square of chocolate on them, grate some chocolate shavings on top and bake. Seriously, they were so good and ridiculously easy.
Happy Holidays!
